Knowing the proper way of performing CPR is important in a life-and-death situation - it is the life of a human being in your hands after all. But another thing to consider is where you learn the right way of doing CPR. If you're living in Chicago, then there's a lot of health and training centers at your disposal. When you want to be trained, get a CPR certification, or just want to join CPR classes in Chicago, then choose the best center for your training, such as these five famous training centers for CPR: 5. Affinity Institute It is a provider of a variety of life safety training classes in the Illinois area. Their courses include the in-demand CPR training, AED (Automated External Defibrillators), First Aid, and other related classes, and the classes are available for healthcare professionals, pediatricians, and even non-healthcare (work, school, or community setting). Their certifications are also AHA approved, and as a bonus, they also provide online classes. 4. CPR Training Center, Inc. Located in Addison, Illinois, it is also accredited by the American Heart Association as a CPR, AED, First Aid, BLS (Basic Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) provider in the Chicago community. Their CPR classes are offered 7 days a week, except for BLS classes, and have highly skilled trainers and a reasonable price for each class. They also have online training facilities. 3. Saving Chicago CPR Similar to those before, it is an authorized training site of the American Heart Association and offers CPR, AED, First Aid, BLS, ACLS classes, as well as PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) for the aspiring physicians who will be handling people in younger age groups (infants to 8 year-old children). They have classroom-based training, onsite training in North Milwaukee Avenue, and several online courses related to CPR. 2. Avid Safety They specialize in CPR, AED, and First Aid training, which they provide on-site and also travels to schools and workplaces with AHA approved certifications. What's interesting about Avid Safety is that they also sell AED's of different brands that they are partnered with, so this is definitely a go-to for AED training and certification when you are living in Montrose Ave. 1. CPR Associates, Inc. As an industry partner of the American Heart Association for more than (35) years, they are well-known in providing quality CPR classes in Chicago. They also provide many services to both medical practitioners (for requirement completion) and non-healthcare, with the goal of making them all better-prepared for emergency situations and be a "heart-saver-on-demand". They offer courses like CPR/BLS, First Aid, ACLS, PALS, and other advanced courses for healthcare providers' needs (e.g. Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Blood Borne Pathogen, IV Therapy, etc.). Certifications are also given in completion of all the respective classes. With two on-site locations in Chicago (Peterson and Foster), they provide "proactive CPR skills administration through spontaneous, confident delivery in life-threatening situations with training skills application. I just recently found out that I am pregnant, and I have been thinking that it would be a good idea to get cpr certified. This way if any issues arise after the baby comes, I will be prepared. Hopefully, I won't have to use it, but it is always better to be safe then sorry.
